Order : To Save Our Restaurants

In a campaign to address the woes of restaurant workers, Pepsi India comes out with #SAVEOURRESTAURANTS.

Order Swiggy, Add Pepsi
As per the Save our restaurant's program, whenever you add any soft drink to your food on swiggy, Pepsi will provide a meal to a restaurant worker. This is noteworthy as 95% restaurants that function offline have been suffering due to no customers. And the rest 5% that work online have seen a reduction of 60% in their orders. All this has resulted in restaurant workers struggling to keep their jobs and feed themselves. This campaign, however, is aiming to highlight and lend support to the restaurants and their workers.

Social Media Campaign
The campaign can be seen on Instagram and Twitter, as Tiger Shroff, Pepsi India and Swiggy have shared pictures related to the campaign. National Restaurant Association of India, the voice of the Indian restaurant industry has been vocal for the restaurants for a while now. With Swiggy and Pepsi lending their support and spreading awareness, some respite is hoped for the restaurants.

Positive Action

Food delivery services in solidarity with restaurants have also reduced online offers and are considering to charge lower commissions per order. These moves may help restaurants to survive and pay salaries to their workers. COVID-19 is not going anywhere nor is our hunger, so if we want to see our favourite restaurants survive we must order.
Time To Give Back
hostel food
Remember avoiding hostel food and ordering online?
I remember my undergraduate days in Cochin and ordering Aloo ka paranthas to beat hunger pangs, I remember my internship in Mumbai and those lovely pizzas I used to order in the middle of the night and I remember my Job days in Gurgaon when I used to order butter chicken from Mukesh ka Dhaba. We all have been there and were helped by our local restaurants when we most needed them. This is our time to give back. So order now and save our restaurants.
