Nike Vaporfly : The Winner's Shoe

The current world record holder wears them and so does a newbie who won his first marathon. These Nike Shoes are so revolutionary that marathoners are ditching their current brands like Adidas to go for Nike Vaporfly Shoe. The Shoe that makes a Legend Nike Vaporfly was worn by Eliud Kipchoge when he completed the Ineos challenge by running 42 Km in 1 hour 59 minutes and 40 seconds. This feat is a first in human history and was possible due to the endurance of the runner and the technology of the shoe. Many marathoners have tried to break this threshold but it was only Eliud and his Vaporfly that did so. To put things to perspective remember Usain Bolt running 100 m in 9.58 seconds well this is that kind of legendary. The perfect combo: Eliud and Nike Vaporfly The Shoe that makes Winners What if a person with no marathon experience wins a marathon? Well, that is what happened during the Mumbai Marathon in 2019. A cross country runner named Darera Hurisa w...

Order : To Save Our Restaurants

In a campaign to address the woes of restaurant workers, Pepsi India comes out with #SAVEOURRESTAURANTS. Order Swiggy, Add Pepsi As per the Save our restaurant's program, whenever you add any soft drink to your food on swiggy, Pepsi will provide a meal to a restaurant worker. This is noteworthy as 95% restaurants that function offline have been suffering due to no customers. And the rest 5% that work online have seen a reduction of 60% in their orders. All this has resulted in restaurant workers struggling to keep their jobs and feed themselves. This campaign, however, is aiming to highlight and lend support to the restaurants and their workers.  Social Media Campaign The campaign can be seen on Instagram and Twitter, as Tiger Shroff, Pepsi India and Swiggy have shared pictures related to the campaign. National Restaurant Association of India, the voice of the Indian restaurant industry has been vocal for the restaurants for a while now. With Swiggy and Pepsi lending...

Netflix Betaal: Horror as Social Commentary

Betaal comments on exploitation and jingoism in the name of development but fails to scare. Reason- The zombies look cute and the horror has gone for a holiday. Go To Pakistan The Show starts with a Prime Time Debate on a news channel where the Commander of an elite special force(CIPD) tells a panellist to go to Pakistan for his  Anti-Development and pro-Adivasi views.  As it later turns out in the show, the commander is in cahoots with the developer of the project and has been receiving bribes for evicting tribals from their lands. A hint of Jingoism and Corruption Neo-Colonialism The British Era zombies though hardly scary, do help to draw parallels to present-day circumstances. CIPD, the special unit tasked with the eviction of tribals, uses the same force and brutality as our Colonial Masters once did in the past. Thus depicting that we have become, what we once fought against. And all this for some economic gain. Who i...
